10. App-Specific Disclosures: InboxIQ

InboxIQ is an SMS/MMS messaging app that also automatically categorizes your incoming messages (personal, work, promotional, one-time passcode, spam, suspected scam) to help you triage your inbox. Because InboxIQ requests SMS, MMS, and Contacts permissions, this section describes exactly how that data is handled, in addition to the general terms above.

  • Message content, phone numbers, and contact names are stored only in a local database on your device. This data is never transmitted to Kreative Koala LLC's servers or to any third party.
  • Message categorization runs entirely on-device using a machine-learning model bundled with the app. No message content is ever sent to a cloud AI service or any external server for classification or any other purpose.
  • Contacts access is used solely to display a saved contact's name instead of a raw phone number in your conversation list, and is read locally only.
  • InboxIQ does not include an advertising SDK and does not use your messages, contacts, or phone numbers for advertising or profiling.
  • Uninstalling InboxIQ deletes this locally-stored data along with the app.
